Vintage Racehorse Art Print
A dark bay thoroughbred, saddled and ready, stands with its owner in top hat and tailcoat while the jockey waits in white silks with red sleeves. Painted in the manner of 19th-century British sporting art, the scene is set on an open heath beneath a vast, stormy sky of slate blue and soft pink cloud.
Muted olive greens, deep browns and moody greys give this antique equestrian wall art a quiet, collected feel – the kind of picture that looks as though it has always hung in a country house. Hang it on its own above a desk or fireplace, or let it anchor a traditional gallery wall.
