My story
From a framer’s offcuts to a collection of my own
Pretty in Print Art began in 2017 with a small collection of prints I designed myself. Today it’s a studio for vintage art and handmade frames, with every piece chosen and styled by me.

2017
How it began
The business started with my own illustrations: a collection of modern nursery prints that I drew and designed, from the Land Rovers to the lions. They found a lovely following, and they showed me how much the right print can do to finish a room.

2023
A change of direction
Everything changed when we bought a 1915 house in south Devon to restore. My own taste has always leaned towards classic, vintage interiors, and the house brought that to the fore.
Around the same time, a local framer showed me a collection of small frames made from offcuts of vintage-style moulding. I painted a few in heritage colours, offered them to customers, and they were an instant success.
Art shouldn’t be intimidating; it should be accessible, beautiful and responsibly made.

The collection
Vintage character, made to last
That success became the collection you see today: reproduction vintage artwork paired with antique-style frames, giving the charm of a thrifted find without the hours spent searching markets and antique shops.
Each frame starts as a long length of quality timber moulding, sourced from Italy and the UK, and is handmade to order so it arrives ready to hang and built to last.

What’s next
Looking ahead
In January 2027 the studio moves into its own unit, bringing the frame-making fully in-house. That means more freedom over what I create and how quickly I can create it.
The collection will grow in a more editorial direction from here, shaped in part by the interiors of our own home as the restoration continues.
Every piece is still chosen and designed by me, and every frame is handmade to order. If you’d like help with sizing or choosing a frame, just use the Chat button and your message will come straight to me.
