Sizing Guide
Planning to frame your art yourself? We’re here to help you get the dimensions just right. Please browse our guide below to understand print, mount, and frame sizing.
Please note: As all pieces are custom-printed, we do not accept returns or exchanges. We suggest confirming your external frame is in stock and fits your chosen dimensions before checkout.

What Size is A4, A3 etc?
A-series sizes (A4, A3, A2, A1) are the most common frame sizes in the UK and Europe.
-
Buying in the UK/EU? You'll find these frames everywhere
-
Buying in the USA/Canada? These are less common than inch-based sizes. We suggest sourcing your frames first to ensure these international dimensions are available to you.
| SIZE | cm | inches |
| A0 | 84.1 x 118.9 cm | 33.1 x 46.8 inches |
| A1 | 59.4 x 84.1 cm | 23.4 x 33.1 inches |
| A2 | 42 x 59.4 cm | 16.5 x 23.4 inches |
| A3 | 29.7 x 42 cm | 11.7 x 16.5 inches |
| A4 | 21 x 29.7 cm | 8.3 x 11.7 inches |
| A5 | 14.8 x 21 cm | 5.8 x 8.3 inches |
Choosing Your Frame Size
Buying a frame is easy once you know what to look for.
1. Frame Only (No Mount / Mat board) Simply match the labels. The dimensions of the print you order should be the exact dimensions listed for the frame.
-
A4 Print → A4 Frame
-
30x40cm Print → 30x40cm Frame
2. Frame with a Mount / Mat board If the frame includes a card border (a mount or mat), the internal opening of the mount / mat is the measurement that matters.
-
Your Goal: Match our Print Size to the frame’s Opening Size.
-
Example: If you have an A4 print, you want a frame that says "Includes a mount for A4" or "Opening size 21x29.7cm".
Double-Check Your Dimensions
Thinking of sourcing your own frame? We love that! To ensure your gallery wall looks perfect, we recommend confirming the availability of your chosen frame size before purchasing your print.
We offer a variety of international sizes (A-series and Metric) that may not be standard in every country. Because every print is custom-made to order, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for sizing errors. A quick measurement check now ensures a seamless framing experience later!
Visualize Your Gallery Wall
Not sure which size will look best? Here is a stylist's secret: Use masking tape or scrap paper to mark out the dimensions of the prints on your wall before you buy. This helps you "see" the scale of the art in your space and ensures your layout feels perfectly balanced.
IKEA Framing Guide
Framing with IKEA is a fantastic, budget-friendly way to refresh your space regularly. We’ve highlighted the most popular IKEA-compatible sizes in our chart above to make your search easier.
Important Considerations:
-
Metric vs. Imperial: Our UK prints are produced in centimetres (cm) to align with European IKEA standards. If you are shopping outside the UK, please double-check that your local IKEA dimensions match our print sizes in inches.
-
Stock & Availability: IKEA frequently updates their collections. To avoid any disappointment, we strongly recommend securing your frames first before ordering your prints, as specific sizes can occasionally be discontinued or go out of stock.
