Bring a touch of nostalgic charm and English country elegance to your walls with our hand-finished reeded picture frame. This empty frame is designed to house your most treasured milestones—whether that’s an treasured family photograph, a whimsical nursery art print, or a sweet masterpiece drawn by your child.
Every single frame is meticulously crafted and hand-painted in the timeless, earthy hue of Farrow & Ball’s Hay Yellow, a dusty, understated yellow with a distinctively gentle green undertone that feels wonderfully cozy and inviting.
The true showstopper is the bespoke mount board, beautifully wrapped in the delicate Skogsstjarna Wallpaper by Boråstapeter—a classic Scandinavian design featuring a scattering of dainty, vintage-inspired starflowers. To elevate the design even further, we have included a bespoke, hand-painted undermount that perfectly matches the colour of the frame, creating a striking, layered border that beautifully draws the eye inward to your picture.
(Please note: This listing is for the empty frame and patterned mount only, ready for you to insert your own photographs or artwork).
Hand-Painted Finish: Painted in genuine Farrow & Ball 'Hay' for a premium, chalky-matte aesthetic.
Artisan Texture: A beautiful, timeless reeded moulding profile that suits both traditional and modern traditional interiors.
Luxury Patterned Mount: Wrapped in authentic Boråstapeter Skogsstjarna wallpaper for an heirloom, high-end look.
The Perfect Finish: Features a hand-painted inner undermount to perfectly frame your piece with a pop of matching colour.
Versatile Styling: Arrives ready to hang in both portrait or landscape orientation.

Due to new EU cross-border packaging and EPR regulations, which also apply in Northern Ireland, we're currently unable to ship Handmade Frames to Northern Ireland or the EU. Unframed prints and Simple Frames are still available in both, as these are printed and framed locally.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Please contact us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to make changes or cancel before framing begins.
Can I return it?
Because this frame is made to your own specification (an empty frame, artwork you've chosen, or your own size or mount), it can't be returned if you change your mind.
Damaged or not right?
Reply to your order confirmation email within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the frame and the packaging (please keep the packaging), and we'll send a replacement or refund you.
What size print will the frame take?
When buying a frame without a mount, the size shown on the product size selection; ie 20x25cm, 30x40cm etc. will be the size of the art it will hold.
When buying a frame with a mount, the size shown is the glass size, where the glass meets the mount. The opening of the mount size will be noted on the size selection drop down. The mount opening size is the size of the artwork it will take.
What is the overall size?
The overall size, including the frame, will be the size of the print, plus the width of the frame x2. The width of the frame is noted in the description.
EXAMPLE:
- 30x40cm
- 2cm frame width (multiply this by 2 and add it to the size you select)
- 34x44cm overall size

Behind the scenes
Step oneYour picture frame starts life as long lengths of wood. Every frame you buy is handmade to order by our tiny team here in the UK
Step twoWe cut four pieces of wood to size, and then pin the four corners to make your frame. We only use solid wood mouldings
Step threeLastly, we add glass glazing, your artwork, backing board, framers tape and then apply the hanging fixings
